Willow & Ox

This tattoo design is based on the quiet atmosphere of an ox painting from traditional Japanese art.

I placed the ox low and heavy to create a sense of stillness, while the willow branches spread gently above its back.

Rather than focusing on strong movement, I wanted the scene to feel calm and grounded.

The repeated willow leaves, soft ink-like shading, and open space were arranged so the design can sit naturally across a large area of the body, especially the back.

I wanted this piece to feel quiet, steady, and something that can be looked at for a long time.

일본 전통 회화 속 소 그림의 조용한 분위기를 바탕으로, 버드나무 아래에 몸을 낮춘 소의 모습을 타투 도안으로 정리했습니다.

소는 무겁고 낮게 두어 안정감을 만들고, 버드나무 가지는 등 위로 넓게 흐르도록 구성했습니다.

큰 움직임보다 조용히 머무는 장면에 집중했고, 넓은 등이나 몸의 큰 면에 들어갔을 때 나무의 흐름과 소의 형태가 자연스럽게 이어지길 바랐습니다.

가는 잎의 반복과 옅은 먹색, 그리고 여백이 함께 남아 차분하지만 오래 볼 수 있는 장면이 되도록 작업했습니다.
