Tiger in the Rain

This design depicts a tiger moving forward through the rain.

Rather than drawing a still tiger, I wanted to capture the force of a moment — the body lowered, the paws reaching forward, and the face turning directly toward the viewer.

The diagonal rain, the pooled rainwater on the ground, and the blurred wet surface were arranged to create a sense of tension and speed.

In East Asian imagery, the tiger has long been associated with courage and protection.

For this piece, I wanted to express that energy in a direct way, as a force pushing through the rain.

비를 뚫고 앞으로 달려나오는 호랑이를 그린 도안입니다.

이번 작업은 정적인 호랑이보다, 몸을 낮추고 앞으로 튀어나오는 순간의 힘을 보여주고 싶었습니다.

사선으로 떨어지는 비, 땅에 고인 빗물과 젖은 바닥의 번짐, 앞으로 뻗은 발과 정면을 향한 얼굴이 호랑이의 긴장감과 속도를 함께 만들도록 정리했습니다.

호랑이는 오래전부터 용맹함과 벽사의 의미를 가진 동물로 여겨졌습니다.

이번 도안에서는 그 상징을 장식적으로 풀기보다, 비 속에서도 밀고 나오는 직접적인 힘으로 표현하고 싶었습니다.
